VIDEO: Thanks For Being Our Neighbors in 2020, When It Mattered Most
Neighbors,
Usually, time moves so slowly that by the end of the year, we’re caught by surprise.
Not this year.
You’ve heard it before, a thousand different ways, on the news, in your social feed, at the dinner table: we’re living in unprecedented times. The COVID-19 global pandemic accelerated change across nearly every industry. It changed the ways we connect with loved ones and go about our daily lives.You can probably find a hundred dozen ads for car insurance, breakfast cereal, or diapers reiterating the stark contrast between our lives before and now. I don’t need to remind you. You’ve heard it. You’ve lived it.
But have you heard this lately?

The best part of being a community bank is that our customers are our neighbors. That means, when a global pandemic threatens our safety and seizes our economy, we intimately know the impact these conditions can have on our customers. We know your families, your stories, your plans for the future. We consider ourselves responsible for helping our communities weather the storm, so we can look forward to brighter days in 2021.
We’ve stood by your side and want to thank you for standing by ours. For keeping us safe by wearing masks. By making a call instead of visiting your branch. For trusting us to help you navigate choppy waters. For continuing to better our communities with your presence and persistence.Despite the turbulent economy, the Benchmark Bank team has accomplished exciting things this year to open doors for our clients. Because of our advancements this year, our neighbors are invited to do these things in 2021:
- Bank at our new Memorial & Tanglewood branch in Houston.
- Visit our newly rebuilt and expanded Preston & Royal branch.
- Access your information more easily, thanks to improved backend functionality of this our website.
- Support your small business with PPP loans, which can keep the lights on and workers on the payroll through fluctuations in the economy.
If this is what we can achieve during a year of such uncertainty, I’m overwhelmingly optimistic about what we can do together in 2021.
