CEO Mike Barnett sent his First Quarter Report via email on April 10, 2012:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. This year is off to a great start! As a whole, the Benchmark companies made $2,208,537 in the first quarter of 2012.

AMC Correspondent led the way with an outstanding quarter. AMC Correspondent made almost 2 million ($1,910,562) for the first quarter! I am very proud of the great work they have been doing and continue to do.

AMC Retail had a great March, and posted a profit of $114,175 for the quarter. Congratulations to Kelly Malatesta who was just recognized by the Scotsman Guide as one of the “Top Originators in 2011” nationwide. She was ranked #74 for Top Dollar Volume and #39 for Most Loans Closed. We are so proud to have Kelly as part of our team!

Benchmark Bank made $383,745 for the quarter. In March, Bauer Financial – an independent rating firm – gave Benchmark Bank a “Superior” 5-star rating for the 4th quarter in a row. To quote Bauer Financial: “A 5-star rating denotes that Benchmark Bank is one of the best in the nation in terms of its overall financial performance.” It is a great honor to be called one of the strongest banks in the US.

Although the title company suffered losses in January and February, Benchmark Title ended the quarter on a positive note making $90,000 in March. The second quarter has great potential with many deals currently in the pipeline. We are excited that Catherine Valentino joined our team in March and will lead the residential marketing effort in Plano/Frisco.

I took two trips recently – one to Monroe to watch Act of Valor with our group there and to recognize the employees who’ve been with us 5 years or longer – and one to Augusta to see our new mortgage office and catch a little bit of the Masters as well. It was great to visit with our people who I don’t get to see often enough.

Overall 2012 is off to a great start, and I look forward to an Awesome year for our group. Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work!
