Texas Women In Business Launches Extraordinary Women Awards

The awards will recognize and celebrate women in the Greater Austin area who have made a significant difference in the lives of other women and children.

Austin, TX, July 28, 2014 – Texas Women in Business

(TWIB) launches its first-ever women’s awards since the organization’s inception in 2010.

Winners will be selected by the Austin area community and presented on September 19, 2014 at the Extraordinary Women Awards Ceremony and 4th Annual Birthday Bash Celebration at Lakeway Resort and Spa.

The Extraordinary Women Awards include 5 categories:

Young Woman Contributor Award – A junior or senior currently enrolled in an Austin area High School who has contributed exceptionally to school activities, her local community, and philanthropy or girls groups over the past year. She will have “made a difference” in others lives. Presented by:seton-logo
Woman Entrepreneur Award – An Austin area female entrepreneur who has made a difference in other women or girls lives. She is a business owner who lives and runs her business with high values and standards, contributing to the local community and non profits, helping other business owners and/or her staff to develop, sharing her skills and inputs for the benefit of others. Presented by:infinity-wellness
Woman Corporate Contributor Award – An Austin area corporate( including Government and non profit) employee who makes a difference in the lives of her colleagues in the business or in her networking groups, who contributes to non profits, the local community or women’s/girls groups. Woman Community Contributor Award – An Austin area woman whose actions make a major difference in the lives of others in her community, school district, non profits or family. Presented by:the-escape
Woman Philanthropist Award – An Austin area philanthropist who has made a major difference to local charities or non profits through time, talent or treasure provided. Presented by:FastframeLogoWhtOnBlk150
Nomination Info and Instructions

Nominations were open until August 23rd, 2014.
Nominations were made online on our website
Nomination deadline was August 23rd (by midnight)
Nominations were open to the public.
Nominees did not have to be TWIB Members.
A TWIB committee selected three finalists in each category.
Voting by the greater Austin community was online from August 28th to September 12th, 2014. Now Closed.
Finalists will receive complimentary invitations to the Extraordinary Women Awards and 4th Annual Birthday Bash Event.
Finalists will receive a one year membership to TWIB, a beautiful award and a donation to their favorite charity. Except for the Young Woman Award Winner who will receive an award and a scholarship.
