Benchmark Bank’s own Corby Ferrell, who serves as President of the Touchdown Club, participates in the groundbreaking for the new Moody Family YMCA. The Touchdown Club helped raise funds for the project through their association with The Rise School, which will utilize space in the building. Please see the excerpts from the full article below:
‘Construction has been underway for the last month and the original YMCA – built in 1951 - has already been demolished to make way for the new structure. The groundbreaking served as a formal celebration of the project start and provided well-deserved recognition to the many individuals who have helped to make the project a reality.
The new YMCA will achieve many milestones. Namely, the Moody Family YMCA at the Park Cities will be the first YMCA to program a Rise school. The Rise School, founded by Gene and Ruth Ann Stallings in 1974, is focused on providing early childhood educational programs for children with and without developmental disabilities.
The project is scheduled to be opened by August 1 2016.’
